Keith Taylor, who succeeded Caroline Lucas as a Green MEP for the South East last year, is undertaking a constituency visit on Friday March 25th. In addition to meeting local Green Party campaigners, he will be available for members of the public to meet him between 11:00 and 1:00 at the St Denys Community Centre. This is a chance for anyone to raise issues with him as an elected representative.
Mr Taylor will also visit the area which could be affected by plans for a huge biomass power plant. Mr Taylor and the Green Party oppose this development, and Mr Taylor is interested to meet local residents who may be affected.
Chris Bluemel, 2010 Green Candidate for Southampton Test, said: 'We are delighted that our Green MEP is visiting Southampton, and that we are able to offer local people a chance to meet with him. Keith Taylor is working very hard at European level on a wide range of issues.'
